I might as well just make this month’s movie Mondays all Marvel Movies. Because they’re all pretty much awesome (minus a few that will remain nameless). There’s no way I can not include this movie on my favorite movie list. This movie, along with Iron Man, Thor, and Captain America, have all renewed my faith in comics being turned into movies. I loved it so much I saw it in theaters three times.
What can I say about this movie as a comic fan? It picks up where Thor left off and has my favorite villain (played the awesomeness that is Tom Hiddleston) as the big bad. Teamwork is important when going up against Loki and all his ridiculous scheming, which is something none of them had until the end. But it’s okay, because what movie doesn’t start off with a little animosity and little tolerance between characters?
I’m not entirely sure if my love of the movie is also because I’ve had a thing for every single male in specimen in the movie at one time or another, because well, I’m me and I’ve always been a little boy crazy.
Or maybe it’s because I’ve loved Joss Whedon and his brilliant ideas since the Buffy years (he’s still my hero, even though I’m not entirely sure I forgive him for Wash. Or Paul. Or Topher. Or Cordelia. Or all the fan favorites that he’s killed off).
Overall, even almost three years later, it’s still one of mine and the kiddo’s favorite movies.
